Comprising of LA born Stevan Cablayan (vocals) and London born Cameron McLain (instruments), Vector_XING create soul and RnB infused electronica that buzzes the sub-woofer and chills the soul. Having both grown up in musical households their influences range from Nina Simone and Bob Dylan to Nicolas Jaar and Radiohead, shaping their musical landscape and forming their blissed-out digital soul.

Both have musical pedigree; Stevan having worked as assistant to Quincy Jones for three years, ultimately inspiring him to realise his potential to express himself as an artist through his own distinct musical narrative. Cameron composed music for television and had a solo project as Cameron McLain/Mandala in New York before leaving that behind and moving to Los Angeles to pursue new creative adventures.

Their music works on several levels, not only sonically, but poetically, dramatically and visually. They have created a sound that is distinct and unique, encouraging the listener to experience each track as a visual presentation.

“Dipped In Blue”, the follow up to “Wild Child”, continues their exploration of the downtempo-fused soul-electronica they are making their own. It’s deep…soul deep with a warm, clean and caressing sound. The melodies are slowly revealing, pouring into wide and stretching soundscapes to create a visual and aural landscape you can search and explore with Stevan’s emotive and soaring vocals as guide.
