Tonight I feel like dancing to some sexy electronics. Of course, I won’t go anywhere; I’m gonna stay at home and dance with my Special Someone. The sounds must be tasty, solid and warm. These November nights are begging for our warmth and dances. And so I turn on Tiga, it’s a perfect fit.
Tiga James Sontag is a Canadian musician, producer and DJ, based in Montreal. His electronic music is full of sexy vibes and subtle tricks. I remember the first song by Tiga I’ve ever heard. It was “Shoes”. It featured Gonzales and Soulwax. Oh, it was love from the first sound and sight (a gorgeous video). Fetish dreams and a tactile orgasm through stylish sounds – this was it!
Tiga’s music is politely touching and extremely good. Sticky melodies and crispy sounds you wanna touch with your fingertips. Basslines are fat, melodies are sticks and drum-machines leave you no choice – you’re gonna want it. Tiga is that kind of electronics making you want to kiss a synth and hug a sampler. His music is material and crispy. You can feel it on your skin, on your tongue and fingers. It’s like a passionate kiss.
Tiga is a professional electronic sound lover doing his beautiful job with passion and style. He’s got three albums and a lot of singles, remixes and collaborations. Also, he runs his own label “Turbo” established in 1998 with acts like Chromeo, Duke Dumont, Brodinski and many other notable names on it.
Tiga made remixes for a bunch of artists: Cabaret Voltaire, The Kills, LCD Soundsystem, Fisherspooner and many more. He released “Don’t Break My Heart” October 31, 2015. And Tiga is full of love, happiness, new ideas and big shows all over the world for the first time without any djing. He’s making his own show now! And Tiga’s also got his own BBC Radio 6 show called “My Name Is Tiga”.
