Pittsburgh-based Parry Adamshas a voice and she's not afraid to use it! Her tell-it-like-it-is attitude mixed with her benevloent nature is the perfect combination. Her latest project, Whiskey Aftermath, will be coming out on April 24, 2020. Here's what Parry had to say about her relatinship with music - past, present and future!

Who is your biggest musical inspiration? Why?

I have had many over the years but, currently, my biggest musical inspiration is Sara Bareilles because is everything I want to be when I grow up. She is a gifted singer-songwriter, a broadway actress, & what seems to be an all around awesome person.

What is your favorite part of being a musician?

I love singing for people. It's my favorite thing about life so, by default, that's my favorite thing about being a musician.

When it comes to inspiration, do you wait for it to strike or do you treat your creative process like standard 9-5 meaning you show up regardless if inspiration is present?

Honestly, it depends on what's going on in my life as to how I treat it. For the most part, I wait for inspiration to strike but, if I'm doing a songwriter challenge or I've agreed to write something for someone, I treat it more like a 9-5.

What has been your most memorable experience (live performance, collaboration, etc) as a musician thus far? What made it the most memorable for you?

My most memorable experience to date is driving solo cross-country performing all the way. It's most memorable because it was the first time I did something of that magnitude all by myself.

What is your earliest musical memory?

I like to say I came out of the womb singing but, for real, I remember singing Itsy Bitsy Spider with my mom when I was very young maybe 3 or 4 years old.

What do you want people to know about your latest release?

Whiskey Aftermath is all the emotions of love, heartbreak and rediscovery.

What are your plans for the future?

I plan on writing and singing as much as I possibly can and, hopefully, to release my music more often.
