Casey James

Casey James was on American Idol, during Season 9, where he came in at 3rd place. I was rooting for James to win from the moment I heard him sing on the show. When he released his first self titled album Casey James, I loved every song on the CD.

In 2010, I interviewed James, and I asked him what the best thing about being on American Idol was? He answered, “The best thing is what it brings for my future. Being able to do what I want to do, what I love to do for the rest of my life. I think it has given me that opportunity, for me that is the best thing.” I am so glad he got that chance, or I may have never discovered his music.

I saw Casey James in concert a couple of years ago and he does not disappoint. It was high energy concert that kept everyone on their feet dancing along. After the concert we were able to meet him and get an autograph. Casey is a great person, who takes time to meet and sign for all of his fans who wait to see him.

This is the final season of American Idol and I am sure there will be a lot of amazing talent. I will miss discovering new talent through American Idol. Several people I enjoyed either won, or went on to have a great career anyway, just like Casey James has.
