I love underground music, and Anna Kitten Pie is my current favorite band. And Minx is their best album to date.
Popularity is the kiss of death. Once something is huge... you know it's crap.
In fact... I probably shouldn't even be telling YOU about Anna Kitten Pie here... I should keep them to myself.
I don't think there is much danger of the band becoming huge and famous -- they are far too experimental. Experimental, mental, quirky, kinky, and very underground.
This music is not for everybody, but it certainly is for me. I'm sure most people will listen to the first 10-15 seconds of one or two songs and give up, which is funny because a lot of their songs take a while to really get going.
If you need to pick one song to check out.. I don't know.. try Dellamorte Dellamore. It's fairly "accessible".
But some of the weirder songs are my favorites... Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman, Belladonna Of Sadness, Priscilla Queen of 1967.
I like the entire album, really. Great stuff.
Actually, I like all of Anna Kitten Pie's albums, but Minx is the best one so far.
