Imagine Dragons are the type of band that has a song on every soundtrack, to every newest film that pops out the word "blockbuster". Hey, there is nothing wrong with that, if the band wants to stretch their fame for a few more years, attaching or recording a song to a title film soundtrack may be the only way. With that being said the track 'I Bet My Life' does deserve a quick listen. While I was going to write about the music video (just as wild as the chorus line and upbeat) directed by Jodeb. As far as music video's go 'I Bet My Life' plays out some odd utopian dreamscape that is easily followed by the trials of life for a young man played by Dane Dehaan. After Dehaan's character falls in a body of water seemingly being pulled to the dam built near by. A dream of what could have been or flash moments from his life bypass him, it would only be at the very end of the music video where his friend/brother (open to interruption) pulls Dehaan from the water.
Now the song as a whole has the same embodied rush as 'Radioactive'. Full, robust and built up till the last second of the track. Imagine Dragons are not known to play out a small and quiet venue. It is only fair to state that Imagine Dragons fully compete at the highest interval of volume and energy.
Imagine Dragons are a native Las Vegas group and the band is entirely close to hitting their ten year anniversary as Imagine Dragons. However, the band doesn't seem to have become a big name until the last few years. Even though their debut album "Night Visions" attributed to the momentum of stardom...it would be their second album "Smoke + Mirrors" to become number one in both the United States and Canada. I bet the career of Imagine Dragons will eventually hit Coldplay territory...just don't say I didn't tell you so.
