Circles Around The Sun is a reflection on the seemingly redundant loop of human experience.

Following a child into adulthood, from a cosmic stand point, would just see our tiny blue planet circling the giant star in the middle of an absolute void. All we get ( with luck ) is 80 loops around ( give or take ). 

Despite this, all that we experience and hold dear to us seems so seriously important.

This song is about a boy who is trying to escape all that. He's not running away from responsibility, he's running into the great unknown, while skillfully avoiding the societal traps laid out for him.
