BDSmith Perspective on Galaxy Rider

I’m BDSmith — synthwave producer.
- I craft fresh, nostalgic synthwave tracks with a cinematic, neon-drenched vibe.
- Inspired by legends like Kavinsky, The Midnight, and FM-84, but always with my own modern twist.
- My mission: bring more people into the synthwave scene and build a real community around the music.
- I share my process, connect with listeners, and push the genre forward—one song at a time.

- I’m a true child of the 80s—grew up surrounded by the synth-heavy soundtracks, neon aesthetics, and retro-futuristic vibes that define the era.
- That nostalgia is baked into my music; every track is my way of channeling those classic sounds and visuals into something new.
- This song is basically a love letter to everything I loved about growing up—arcade lights, VHS tapes, and the feeling that the future was bright (and probably glowing pink and blue).
- My background isn’t just an influence—it’s the foundation for everything I create as BDSmith.

This release dives deep into night drive synthwave—those pulsing, atmospheric sounds built for neon-lit cityscapes after dark. I also blend in touches of classic synthwave and retro pop, layering cinematic textures and nostalgic 80s vibes throughout.
Basically, if you’re about cruising under glowing lights or want a soundtrack for late-night adventures, this one’s for you.

Over the past three years, my sound has gone through a total transformation. When I started out, I honestly had no clue about structure—just messing around and hoping it’d work. Everything changed in 2024 when I connected with Hot Key Collective (HKC); that’s where I learned how to actually build tracks that flow and hit hard.
Up until this year, I was making house music, but in 2025 I made the switch to synthwave and never looked back. Now, my tracks are way more focused, with tighter arrangements and a signature neon vibe that’s all about the 80s. It’s been a wild ride, but I finally feel like I’ve found my lane.

My music is all about nostalgia, future dreams, and that feeling of cruising through neon-lit cityscapes. I love exploring themes like escapism, late-night adventures, and the bittersweet vibe of looking back at the past while chasing something new.
There’s always a cinematic edge—think outer space, retro tech, and the kind of energy you get from 80s movies or arcade nights. If you’ve ever wanted a soundtrack for your own midnight drive or daydream, that’s what I’m aiming for as BDSmith.
