Answer:

My name is Flex A Lot and I am a rap rock star!

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

It fits my personality and it's just a fun song, I don't feel like every song has to be serious or relate to my background. 

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

6 years old,  I remember when Sammie I like the way first came out! I had that song on repeat. Every since then I've always loved music.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

I knew when I was 7 years old that I wanted to be an artist. I've always had a love for sounds, I would stay up late just experimenting with different mixes and putting them on cds, my people loved them. I started recording later in life though my first time going to the studio I was 27. Old right.

What genres does this release play into?
Answer:

Hip Hop with a little bit of rock 

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

My sound has came a long way from first song to where I am now recording. And believe finding my sound did not happen over night a lot of it came from trial and error. But I'm still building my sound and perfecting my craft every single day.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?
Answer:

Roscoe Dash because because his sound inspired me to start creating music. 

How would you describe your favorite artist's music to someone who has never heard them before?
Answer:

I would tell them you have to check this artist out! Their hooks are super catchy and they'll have you ready to turn up.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?
Answer:

I would tell them that my hooks are always on point. I write all my songs and I make all my own beats.

Michael Jackson because he was the greatest performer that ever lived.

I want them to feel chills when they hear my hooks and I just want them to feel inspired and turnt up after listening

Answer:

I would say being able to make music a career and once you are able to make money and feed your family from it, you are successful.

Bringing back catchy hooks is how I plan on being a game changer in my genre

We inspire and music touches the soul so we play a big role in giving you a way to escape reality for a little while

Getting my song played in the club and the Dj saying over the mic that my song was trash

I wouldn't change anything this is the best way for it to be

I was in the Army, I worked for Amazon, I was a waiter at Applebees I was an Uber Driver

It has and I don't mind being alone

Always being able to make something out of nothing

I'm not a quitter and I enjoy seeing things all the way through so I'll keep making music

Answer:

Longevity, make at least 4 hit songs, huge fan base, and generate revenue that feeds my family.

Do you have a distinct way of making music, how do you work?
Answer:

Yeah I like to Create rough drafts of my music before I take it to the studio. 

Walk us through your music creation process, specifically for this song.
Answer:

I spent a couple of weeks working on this song, I brought the beat from my producer and I didn't know what to write on it at first. But after a couple of long nights on the porch I finally came up with the chorus and it was hitting. I showed the song to my brother and he made his verse and sent it to me the next day. A couple of weeks after that we took it to the studio and the rest is history. 

Do you prefer working alone or collaborating with others? How does this influence your sound?
Answer:

I like to work alone but I'm open to working with anyone as long as they are respectful

Answer:

I enjoy the production and creation process

My friend is a truck driver and he was telling me about all the lot lizards he's ran into and that's where it came from
