Who are you and what do you do?

Answer:

I'm a singer songwriter from California. I play a little guitar and also have begun to produce my own tracks on Logic. I love expressing stories through melody, and gravitate toward folk-pop vibes.

How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

Take your time is a reflection of the things we're toldand experiences we have growing up, and how these influence our present day self. For me, a lot of insecurities still plague me and influence my behavior negatively. I'm sensitive is the best way to put it. So I'm asking my partner to "take your time" - be patient with me, I'll come through.

What genres does this release play into?

Answer:

Folk-pop, folk-rock, singer-songwriter

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?

Answer:

I have a background in musical theater and classical music, so when I started songwriting these styles naturally surfaced. As I started to work with more producers and co-writers, I've curated a sound that's uniquely mine: a modern mashup of folk, pop, and contemporary genres with nostalgic vibes.
