Noam peri Perspective on Darling, I Would
I'm a queer indie singer-songwriter from LA, working on a new EP with 4-6 rock/pop/alternative tracks. my music features a bright voice and personal lyrics, touching on themes of heartbreak and my unique perspective. my sound blends 70s rock with electronic touches.
I started writing at a young age, primarily due to my mother's insistence on learning to read and write. Writing became an essential aspect of my life as I grew up. During my teenage years, I often felt misunderstood. I came out as gay, which was challenging. I struggled in school, felt alone, and did not feel like I belonged. I couldn't figure out why. Sometimes, when we feel sad, we listen to sad songs to help us feel better. However, when I did that, I realized that I couldn't find any songs that described my feelings. I couldn't find any songs that told my story. So, I started writing my songs. I wrote songs about love and heartbreak, songs about being a part of this world, escaping social norms, and being afraid to be alone. Suddenly, I found a place to be myself and express my feelings without fear. Writing was easier for me than talking.
my goal is to make people realize that they are not alone and that others are going through what they are going through. I want my music to be a safe place where people feel like they belong.
"Darling, I Would" is a song that comes from a broken heart. I wrote it as a way to express my feelings and heal. its not just another song; it's a passionate expression of love, desire, and complexity. The track features dirty guitars, clear vocals, and a vintage experimental rock vibe that encapsulates the raw emotions of falling in love with someone you can't have and the fear of expressing your feelings.
