Riky T Perspective on La Interesada
My name is Richard Torres m, but I am better known as Riky T. I am a Cuban singer, rapper, and producer. I was born in Habana, Cuba in 1993 and lived there until I moved to Miami, Florida in 2004. I currently lives in South Florida.
I started in music in 2009 with only 15 years of age when starting a new Reggaeton movement in Cuba. I was inspired by artists like Daddy Yankee, Don Omar and Alexis y Fido to start what was the beginning of my career as an artist. I started producing reggaeton songs with friends from my school and we created a group called Alto Voltaje. Soon, with the use of MySpace, we managed to attract a lot of listeners among the students of their school and others. Eventually I had to stop making music to focused on studying.
This release is a Latin urban music genre, called reggaeton, that has became popular in the last few years.
The song tells a story that love is more important than money and materialistic things. The song is a love confession to a woman that we have more to offer as men although we are not rich.
I confess that I would love to tour with Feid aka Ferxxo. I have recently gotten inspired by his style and energy.
My favorite song will always be "Mi Introducción" because that song brought me back to music in 2021 after a long period of not making it. This song says who he is as an artist and introduces me to reggaeton once again.
My background as an Latin artist is what helped build the relationship to collaborate with these two amazing artists, Henry Bustamante and Babyblessed.
I remember I was maybe five years old and my neighbor used to play Marco Antonio Solis on his speakers everyday. I used to enjoy listening and paying attention to the lyrics. To this day, I remember every word I heard as a child back in my country. I fell in love with music since then.
