im Prince Kareem a Recording artist/songwriter/producer from Jamaica queens. Prince Kareem has a bunch of top of the list music videos to go along with working with a bunch of super stars artist from doing music in the late 80s to now P.K hasnt missed a step along the way . Prince kareem music is high energy and a great vibe to each record .

How does your background play into this song?
Answer:

The background music was created by Prince Kareem and give the song a great bounce to it plus the artist featured on this record is Aktual who has a bunch of big songs too. the song has a high enegy to it and most will love it.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
Answer:

1987 to 1989 the park jams in jamaica queens when hiphop was still fresh to the world.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?
Answer:

i always wanted to do music as i got older my skills grown from writing to making tracks to recording the music . Prince started doing R&B to Rap to Pop thats hip hop.

hip hop / trap / drill music / soul/ 

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?
Answer:

all the music get better and better as they should

Answer:

my music is about life , the day to day life and they real growing up in the inner city of Jamaica Queens

i would love to go opn tour with any big artist just to give the fans a chance to feel my style and my sound i work hard

my favorite song is called use to luv her by Prince Kareem because its a story rap about hiphop and how i grew up in the music and could have been signed but now its time

Answer:

Pain, life ups and downs things people can relate to.

Answer:

dope , epic and exciting

Answer:

sounding like no one else being myself as i should be because now a days we have a bunch of artist that sound the same.

Answer:

being in a jam being picked on but the police so i came up with po-po dont squeeze

Answer:

to have my music change the outcome of people life who listen to my songs

My favorite work has to be between my first album over time and my last album look at me now because the growth in being a man can show thru out my work.

my favorite artist is a hard one with so many great writters i love to feel the music so everything has to have meaning like DMX,Tupac even some of Biggie Smalls songs

Answer:

Answer:

before i would practice at home now i practice everywwhere

What is your definition of success as an artist? How do you measure this success?
Answer:

getting booked for paid shows and getting the chance to enjoy the lifestyle

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?
Answer:

being on the road alone traveling by myself from city to city in the early 2000s

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?
Answer:

i record at a recording studio mix and master i also film , direct and edit videos and producer beats, while working a full time job 6 days a week for over 20 years.

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?
Answer:

making the tracks help me put the songs together faster, and recording myself helps me to know what i need to sound like on every. record.

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?
Answer:

im not lonely at all music give me a outlet to meeting new people all the time its just trying to figure out whos for me and whos not.

What is the most significant lesson you've learned through being an artist?
Answer:

the most significant lession you learn in the music game is everybody looking to use you if it will make them money other than that they want to be paid for beating around the bush.

How would you define having an artistic outlook on life?
Answer:

i see life for what it is the ups the downs the good the bad and the real people and the fake ones who will come and go .so as long as your real to yourself you cant lose.

If you could alter the music industry in any way, what would you change and why?
Answer:

i would all more real music and less killing our people i want the kids to havea chance in life the right way. we as adults have to show our youth the way.

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?
Answer:

being sick on stage and having to throw up in front of future fans but i have a new way of thinking now and everything makes you better if you lesrned from it.

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?
Answer:

beside my song catalog with bmi im really good at what i do.

What is the most memorable response you've had to your work?
Answer:

when i opened up for moob deep in the late 90s great times with new people.
