Artist:
Nicole Sabouné
About:
Nicole Sabouné was introduced to the Swedish music scene when she released her debut album ’Must Exist’ in 2014 to critical acclaim. Her music echoed of stripped down tunes of late 70’s new wave, fused with post punk with darker arrangements creating an expression that was equally passionate and polished. One year later, in 2015, she released her second album ‘Miman’, this time inspired by the poem Aniara written by the Swedish Nobel laureate, Harry Martinsson. It was a more conceptual album of sprawling arrangements and esoteric sounds showcasing further depths of Sabouné's creative skills and talents as a writer and producer. The album, which was darker and more atmospheric than the debut, put even more focus on Sabouné's powerful vocals, which led to further critical acclaim and international attention. With the latest drop to the collection, the single Hard To Breathe, Nicole returns in 2021 with the announcement of her third full-lenght album called 'Attachment Theory' to be released on September 10th via Smuggler Music. The album is co-produced and co-written by Jenny Wilson, recorded entirely with analogue equipment.
