Mattia Cupelli is an Italian artist based in Rome, Italy. His sound is influenced by genres as Post-Classical and Dark Ambient sounds to modern Experimental Electronic music and the world between. Early works are mainly based on Soundtrack, Orchestral Music, and Modern Piano music, which makes himself known through his YouTube channel, which counts over 35 million plays and 130K subscribers. His LP "UNDERNEATH" presents a new ambient/neo-classical sound infused with modern electronic sound. “Matching electronic components against a neo-classical sweep, his work recalls the likes of Nicolas Jaar or Ólafur Arnalds, with some Nils Frahm thrown in" (from CLASH Magazine) about ONWARDS Son of Marketing writes: “shows minimal and delicate ambient, evocative whispered vocals, growing rhythms in the second part and an impressive pathos”. In 2019 releases "EP I" with some old pieces recomposed, followed by "EP II" in 2020, featured new obscure and dark tracks influenced by electronic contemporary music. Also, is in the production of a project named "REWORK" that features some reimagined old tracks under a new unique style (Rework I and Rework II). In 2021 releases RUINS with a new fresh ethereal sound, with a sense of ancient spirituality. Rock.it described as "a narrative so powerful as to drag into a plot that each of us generates according to our experiences".
