DJ, Producer and Filmmaker Paimon Alipour has produced a number of projects.
A second generation Iranian-American, Paimon was raised by immigrant parents in Iowa City, Iowa, a town that hardly possessed a market for music. Paimon started making music at 16 years old. Despite cultural pressures, he followed his passion for hip hop and decided to pursue a career in music. Influenced by artists like Prince, Pharrell, and Kanye West, Paimon’s style includes a wide range of Hip Hop, and R&B.
In 2007, Paimon began DJing professionally and has since maintained a 12 year residency at the biggest bar in the Big 10, at one of the top party schools in the nation, as rated by Playboy Magazine. He has performed at some of the top venues in Chicago, New York, Miami, Austin and Seattle, and his skills are sought after by corporate clients such as Victoria’s Secret, Guess, Sephora, Vans and Lids.
As a producer, Paimon’s remixes are in rotation on popular radio stations like Kiss FM, Power 106 and Shade 45 and were also some of the most downloaded tracks on top DJ Record Pools such as DJCity and Direct Music Service. He has over 90k streams on Apple Music and Spotify, as well as 2 million views on YouTube.
Paimon recently released Soul de Selene, a full concept album and accompanying short film that he wrote, produced and scored winning several awards including Best Music Video at both the 2019 New York and Los Angeles Film Awards.
