Yes I’m Leaving couldn’t remember when their 10 year anniversary show should have been. That said something tells me they wouldn’t have done anything special. No nostalgic tour would have been arranged. No retrospective self-evaluation. They just keep moving forward. I don’t think they have much choice in the matter to be honest.
Yes I’m Leaving relishes the next rehearsal. The next show, the next album. They work towards things collectively, and more often than not, independently. They are Five LPs and several Eps deep, with new music still being spewed forth from the polished grime of Sydney’s inner-west rehearsal spaces.
The band has been graced with releases through Blackwire, Homeless, and Tenzenmen records. They have had the luxury of touring Australia repeatedly. They spent a month on the road in the The United States too, traversing from icy New York to sultry San Francisco via SXSW.
Yes I’m Leaving are loud and curious and just don’t care anymore (I don’t know if they ever did).
