Queen of Spanish Harlem, Lumidee, was born her parents named her after the Spanish word that means “Illuminated.” This unique name became this talented entertainers’s destiny .
First breaking onto the scene in 2003, Lumidee wrote and recorded a timeless record still embraced to this day titled Never Leave You (Uh Oh).
This single catapulted to #3 on the Billboard Charts and went straight to #1 in over 10 countries. Lumidee signed her first recording contract with Universal Records and released her debut album Almost Famous. She then recorded her sophomore album on TVT Records titled Unexpected, and over the years recorded multiple mixtapes and singles which included “Dance!” ft. Fatman Scoop for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, “She’s Like The Wind” ft. Tony Sunshine, collaborations with Pitbull, Dave East, NORE, and more.
Through these songs she's gained a cult core fanbase, which allows her to tour the world. This is all due to her international appeal and her unique sound that showcases her uniuqe sound that melds multiple genres together seamlessly.
Lumidee once again started to gain acclaim for her songwriting abilities, winning multiple ASCAP Pop Music Awards in 2017 and 2018. Credits included DJ Snake and Justin Bieber’s 2016 hit record “Let Me Love You.” Recently she celebrated the 15 year anniversary of her debut album, Almost Famous . Busy recording music under her own independent label Logy Music, which includes Christmas single,
“Slay Ride."
