In mid-2017 LA-based record producer, orchestral composer and multi-instrumentalist Jason Achilles debuted his self produced, fully analog recorded Comedown LP and began what would prove a virtually endless tour cycle both in the US and overseas. After a good deal of initial experimentation, Achilles and live drummer Forrest Mitchell settled in to an unlikely two-piece arrangement primarily for reasons of 'economics' ie. "not having to pay more musicians". It was only after a smattering of rehearsals and taking this new broken-down paired concept on the road, that they discovered to their surprise how the resulting 'juggling act' rapid switching of instruments in live performance resonated with audiences. In keeping with the wholly organic nature of the album recording process, the duo continue to perform their live instrumentation of guitar, bass, keys and drums simultaneously with the aid of minimal looper techology, and maximum creative spark.Follow at http://www.JasonAchilles.com
