Grounders formed in Toronto, Canada in 2010 with a melodic, atmospheric indie rock tinged with neo-psychedelia and dream pop, generated by lead singer/guitarist Andrew Davis, guitarist/keyboardists Evan Lewis and Daniel Busheikin, and bassist Mike Searle. Produced, recorded, and mixed by Marcel Ramagnano, their debut EP, Wreck of a Smile, was released in spring of 2013 on
Nevado Records. The band's eponymous full-length debut was recorded with Ramagnano and David Newfeld (
Broken Social Scene,
Chikita Violenta), and featured
DIANA's Kieren Adams on drums. It was released in the spring of 2015.
