An Atlanta MC who hit before he released his first mixtape, Dae Dae knew he had a hit the moment he wrote "Wat U Mean (Aye, Aye, Aye)." The rapper had spent time in the studio, but never allowed his music to be heard by the public until 2015. He was working construction when he decided "Wat U Mean (Aye, Aye, Aye)" would be his debut track, and when it dropped in late 2015, it became a regional hit. In 2016, after
Young Dro jumped on the remix, it became a national summer hit. Dae Dae signed with
300 Entertainment that same year and released his 4 Reasons mixtape. Subsequent singles "Dej Loaf" and "Spend It" arrived later that year with the latter receiving a remix by
Young Thug and
Young M.A. in late 2016. Dae Dae kicked off 2017 by dropping the DJ Spiz-assisted single "Dem Days." ~ David Jeffries
