Celebrating a Latino Christmas

Fifteen songs will make you smile and feel satisfied for choosing to listen to Latino Christmas.

That's true for me, of course. But honestly, before I played this album I was not so sure if it would meet my need for some Christmas music this season. Now I would say that Latino Christmas should be part of your Christmas playlist.

The first track, I think, is the best choice to open up the album's selections. It serves you both the Christmas mood and lovely Latino music in just one song.   And thanks to this album, I realized how Little Town of Bethlehem and The First Noel could sound so good, so cool when played and sang via this music genre.

When we talk about Latin American music, we are of course, taking note that it has influences of several music genres such as son, rumba, salsa, merengue, tango, samba and bossa nova. And you could hear these influences as you listen to the Christmas tunes in this album. Personally, I hear more of the samba and bossa nova ones here.

When you come to the 2nd to the last song of the album, Festive Dance, I think by this time you might be all set to go dancing. And that is well and good as the Christmas season is about celebrating love, joy, peace and hope. Dancing is, of course, one way to celebrate.

The album appropriately ends with Oh Holy Night reminding us all why we are even celebrating this time of the year. And I must say, celebrating Christmas with a touch of Latino music is a good way to go this season.
