Going for an Acoustic Christmas

As the days lead us further on towards the merry month of December, I am also happily moving on in choosing Christmas albums that would have their play time in our house this coming Christmas season. Now, here's one more cool Christmas album for you and me.

Sure, this album, is for all music lovers who love Christmas tunes performed the acoustic way. I have to say, though, that some selections here seem jazzy to me. But I would readily add, that it's a good thing really.

I am well-pleased that the album has nothing short but 19 tracks for us. I can't help but wonder though why stop short at 19? Why not give us 20? But hey, 19 is good.

There are a couple of songs in this album that I have not associated with the Christmas season before. These are Bella Note and When You Wish Upon Star but I have to say that they somehow fit well, nevertheless, in this album. I am not that familiar with O Tannenbaum which wraps up this acoustic gem for us. I would have preferred not to have Santa Baby in this album, it still sounds like a syrupy song for me even when it is played the acoustic way.

Let It Snow, Do You Hear What I Hear and The Christmas Song are really great pieces in this album. If only for this 3 songs along with When You Wish Upon Star, I can easily give 4 stars out of 5 for this album. This means, of course, that if you want your share of an acoustic Christmas in the coming weeks, this November 2015 released album won't be a bad choice at all.
