Every move and step, and sight is expressed with sound better than words and images often are. It is a work of a genius. Describing what’s going on without any words – this is a real work of a genius, don’t you think?
Just watch any Italian or Euro exploitation, erotic, crime or horror movie – they are all treasure boxes of perfect images and music. Those scores are often forgotten and not even released sometimes. And that is sad, actually. That music – soundtracks for 60s – 80s euro cult movies - is a brilliant example of doing things right. I mean music in those movies sometimes is even better than a visual part. And that legacy is being lost and forgotten, unfortunately.
Franco Micalizzi is the name of those Italian music masterminds who have known the deal. Find any of his scores and get deep into the world of extraordinary crime funk and experimental electronic landscapes with all those movie characters in your head. This is the trip, trust me.
