Lindsay Solo is a talented vocalist. Her soulful and raspy voice carries any song you put in front of her. She recently released her debut album, Love Reimagined, that's filled with songs she's covered. She says "I have personally chosen each song on Love Reimagined, picking the songs that have touched me the most throughout my life’s journey in love. There’s nothing more epic than the emotion of love.” The sensual collection will feature lavish orchestra performances alongside sparsely elegant intimate vocal and instrumental accompaniment recordings.
One of the songs on the album is her rendition of Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years," which is vastly different than the original. While Christina's is more of a pop ballad, Lindsay's is more on the gospel and soul side. She changes some of the inflections here and there, but it has more of a personal feel to it. You can hear in her voice and the way she performs the song that it means something to her. She takes you on her emotional journey with her and it's the most beautiful thing any artist can do. The addition of the choir backing her up elevates the song to church level. You get a different feeling listening to Lindsay's version as it is definatley more personal to her, whereas Christina's isn't.
