Lion Babe Creates A Got Body Positive Track

One of the greatest gifts I've been handed was the introduction to Lion Babe. At a New Year's Eve party where the wall was turned into a projection of nothing but Lion Babe music videos playing on repeat. Now with Got Body released today, it seemed oddly fitting that the individual who took me to such a party and implied the introduction is celebrating a birthday today. So all is well in the universe for the current moment just as long as Lion Babe is playing.

The New York Funk/Soul duo have come a long way and are climbing the stairs to the stars. Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman collaborate in this duo to bring a mixture of soulful fuel, funkadelic sonic rhythms, and Hervey's voice borders on a unique sense of style with a vocal melody solely drenched in bright valley's. Hervey never once slips up on any pitch tone, nor does Hervey not look the part. Somehow Hervey and Goodman throw out a picture perfect iconic pair, ready for world domination.

Got Body flows in the line of body positivity that is growing more of following by the day. As it should, being positive about the skin and curves that may present themselves on our person is a soul journeying experience that can take some people years to accept. Lion Babe addresses how wonderful it can be to enjoy what we are given. All the ancestors kind of grouped together in one individual, showing one of a kind characteristics introduced at the time of birth. A beautiful message Lion Babe conclude is that 'we all don't need one way to look good' and 'I've got body no matter what I wear'. You don't have to be resentful against the structural nature of your body, embrace and adore what you are given.
