Deserving a Diva title next to your name is a blessing on this World. Earning that title is the greatest achievement of being a female singer. Not everyone can get that title; moreover, I would say only a few. Being a Diva means that even after her life, she will be worshiped, and her works, songs, and art will be remembered as a great mark and achievement for the humanity, and it limits.

The Queen of Soul "Aretha Louis Franklin" is definitely among the Divas. She is a woman with outstanding talent, expression, beauty, and charisma. Her vocals are rich with a lot of "soul, spirit, and depth"(still!). Aretha Franklin's appearance has never left anybody indifferent. Besides her singing, she is a great songwriter and an undoubtedly skilled piano player. In her career, she has won 18 Grammy Awards considered as one of the best-selling artists of all time, with more than 75 million records sold all over the world.

Franklin started singing in church since she was a young girl, and soon at the age of 14 she released her debut gospel album "Songs of Faith." After four years in 1960, she released her first single R&B hit - "Today I Sing the Blues." Aretha Franklin had strong support from her father since the very beginning who was a Minister. C. L. Franklin saw her diverse talents and gifts she had and coached her in very different ways to be a better person, singer, and musician.

Aretha Franklin is one of a kind artist who has more than well deserved the recognition she has received. Her "powerful mezzo-soprano voice" fulfilled some of the greatest hits that broke many records such as "I Never Loved a Man,"Natural Woman,"Chain of Fools,"Save me,"Ain't No Way,"Think," Rock Steady" etc.

It is mind blowing when you see that since 1956 (beginning of her career) she is still active, rocking the scene anytime she appears(at the age of 74)! I am especially stunned by her performance of (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman at 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors last year. The Diva proves that there are no age limits for being a singer and hitting those high notes without a problem!
