Moonlight on the River at Lollapalooza 2017

I was so lucky to be able to be at Lollapalooza 2017 this past summer, it was euphoric. One of the best highlights of the week was seeing Mac Demarco on a warm Saturday night right near the front row of the stage. You could feel the energy in the air before the concert. Moonlight on the river is a single of Mac's new album "This Old Dog", one of my favorite singles off of the album in my opinion. The concert was really great, he played a lot of his old hits and some of the new stuff on his new album.

One of the big reasons why I really like moonlight on the river is the fact that mac os stepping into new territory. If you listen to the song all the way through, you can hear the psychedelic rock creeping in near the end. Not that I can say this is mimicking the Pink Floyd approach, but it sounds like they are trying to experiment a bit and that is so cool. Hopefully, more of this to come, Mac!
