A tribute to Chester Bennington of Linkin Park

Being a fan of Linkin Park from the very beginning, Chester Bennington surely made a major impact on me with his punk grundge look and stealth vocals. Coming from humble beginnings and working through the music industry to become the powerhouse his known as today has certainly changed the face of music. He not only touched  the hearts of many Linkin Park fans, but also gave us a sense of the person he was - caring and heartwarming in nature.

Sadly after a lifelong battle of depression Chester left the world on the 20th July 2017, a hard cross to bare for not only his family, but for millions of Linking Park fans too. Chester left behind more than he possibly could have imagined, and if only he could have seen just how much he truly meant to the world and music industry as an artist. 

From the hardcore punk rock sounds of "Crawling" to the lighter heaviness of "One more Light", we will always remember Chester's strong powerful vocals which not only gave depth to those songs, but gave depth to his/Linkin Parks fans as a whole.

He was the voice for so many who forgot how to use or lost their own. Through Chester's heavy lyrics hearts were pieced together, strength was found and hope was given, and we as the fans will forever be greatful. He and his voice will always be a beacon of light for those who have lost their way in the darkness. So today we say Thank you Chester for giving us the biggest gift of all - to continue fighting and living no matter the odds, through your voice and music you will live on forever.
