Majutsu No Niwa are a renowned Japanese psychedelic noise rock/garage rock band, who have released a number of pretty good albums within their particular genre through the years. ''Natsu No Owari Ni'' was their first album, and it was released back in 2008. The album packs some really fine Japanese feedback laden psychedelic noise rock from start to finish.
The album starts off with a track titled ''Majutsu No Niwa'' and it puts forth some awesome catchy and memorable psychedelic noise rock. The solos on this track are pretty mind blowing as is usually the case with Japanese psych rock bands like Majutsu No Niwa. The second track ''Ouinari Wadatsumi'' on the other hand packs some more ambient and slow dreamy psychedelia, while the following track ''Arete Umibe Banka-hen'' mowing in the realm of noisy yet catchy melodic psych rock. The same thing can also be said about tracks like ''Doko e'' or ''Tetsuro No Kanata''. The latter starts off in a slow manner only to move into some fascinating psych rock with a pretty catchy bassline. There are also tracks like ''Zawameki Ugomeki'', which essentially pack some feedback laden droney guitar improvisation. Thus the album offers quite a bit of variety via stretching from melodic psychedelic noise rock to more experimental noisy guitar improvisation with plenty of feedback.
All in all ''At The End Of Summer'' is a really decent debut album from Majutsu No Niwa. An album that reminds bands like Overhang Party, White Heaven and similar Japanese psych rock greats. This album was also followed up by another great psych rock album ''Frontera'', which is also worth checking out for sure.
