Dream Theaters Competition

I am a big fan of this band. The style of music that they play is by and far my favorite. From back when Rush first started out no band has compared to them until Dream Theater happened. The timing, the breaks, fills and riffs that they use are second-to-none. Of course, being a drummer myself, Mike Portnoy is out of this world. I heard his rendition of la villa strangiato and although it was not Neil Peart, it was the best I have ever heard from any other drummer. Picking up on those ghost notes in that song was impressive.

Now, as I said, I am a drummer and I've been playing since I was eleven. That's 37 years. I have formed a band named, Labodaz, and we create a new type of progressive rock and roll. Our time changes mimic those of Dream Theater and Rush and being compared to those two bands has been a highlight of my music career. We can be heard at labodaz dot com and see foryourself. Dream Theater is an awesome band and as mentioned before, Mike Portnoy is a beast on the drums.. just wait until you hear Mykk Freeman.
