Drag Us Down and Let Us Live

With a band name like Counterfeit, a mixture of punk and rock should not be a surprise. However, once the music video for Counterfeit's newest single 'Enough' came out April 1, 2016 it was a bit of shock when the song was case in point "that good". Somehow Counterfeit who have only been around since 2015 bring forth a prowling robust energy sorely lacking in the radio waves now days. The music video for 'Enough' feels along the lines of witnessing through the eyes of a concert attendee at one of Counterfeit's shows. Whether that was the intention or to simply record a live show, the message is received. Counterfeit border on between 'Beautiful People' by Marilyn Manson, 'Animal' by Three Days Grace and traces of The Used, with an added note of many hardcore bands following in suit.

Yet it should go on record that lyrically Counterfeit have conceived a whole different message. Which in the present is exciting and in anticipation simply wonderful. Besides the doom and gloom of traditional hardcore, Counterfeit fight back with a steady complex rhythm of authority and persistent love. Not for that last section to sound cheesy because Counterfeit go far away from that aspect. In general 'Enough' sounds like a song battling against the demons of politically correct obstructions when people just want to live their lives the way they choose.
