La Hell Gang is a relatively well-known Chilean psychedelic rock band from Santiago. They have released three good albums so far, and their best album to date is probably ''Thru Me Again''. An album that they released back in 2014 via Mexican Summer, and which packs some mellow, dreamy and meandering psychedelia from start to finish. Le Hell Gang is by no means a unique band from South America, as they come from a long line of many great Chilean and Peruvian psych rock bands such as The Holydrug Couple, Föllakzoid, La Ira De Dios and The Psychedelic Schafferson Jetplane.
The album starts with a track titled ''Inside My Fall'' and it packs some rather catchy mellow and smoothly flowing psychedelic rock with some pretty nice mellow neo-psych style vocals that work really well. The same exact thing can essentially be said about the next two tracks ''Her Way Has Come'' and ''Sweet Dear'' as well. The album is clearly meant for a lazy summer day wasting away relaxing or for a summer drive down a coastal highway. The music is relaxing from start to finish, but the songs also tend to be rather catchy in a mellow psych rock sense. This can definitely be said about tracks like ''The Beginning Remains The End'' or ''Last Hit'' or really any of the tracks on this fine album. What this album packs is transcendence into a mellow relaxed state through these awesome flowing songs that may as well seemingly run on in a loop forever and one would be totally fine with this.
All in all this album is definitely one of the best psychedelic rock albums from Chile and why not one of the best psych rock albums of recent years in general. The album tends to be rather mellow, but also packs enough catchy basslines and noisy psych guitars to not be one dimensional.
