No cover story, lyrically Calvi adds detail to events that may go unnoticed to the listener, however, we should not over look the sentimental or tragic circumstances these words strung together mean to the musician.
From the beginning of 'Piece By Piece' Calvi demonstrates a softer vibrance, almost as if playing a lullaby. Until a single moment towards the ending, where the top bass chords riff out a distinct and rowdy sound. In a way Calvi breaks the 4th wall, protruding into an unknown dark full of pieces.

Transforming into a strand of DNA flowing from the fingers as Calvi holds down the strings on the Fender, seemingly transfusing an electronic current of sonic waves into an amplifier.
