Old Friends Live on Stage 2003

What can be said of these two gents? They are rock n roll Hall of Fame inductees, Simon twice nominated. Their sixties records captured the hearts and minds of millions of fans. In this concert work, they perform all of their hits from the early ones “Sound of Silence,” “I Am A Rock,” “Homeward Bound,” even “Leaves That Are Green,” (which had not been performed since 1967). Contrast this with other later songs like “Mrs. Robinson,” “The Boxer,” “El Condor Pasa,” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” all of which are simply stunning. They are stunning at that at age 62, the two were still able to harmonize in infinitely better style and form than other artists of this age. Included in this concert is a rare surprise collaboration with Phil and Don Everly (The Everly Brothers), singing their hits “Dream Dream Dream,” and “Bye Bye, Love” among others. It is almost a two hour CD album that will keep you entertained for years to come.
