Elvis Presley - Gone Not Forgotten

Elvis Presley is the King of Rock and Roll. That is a fact that is hard for anyone to deny. I have to wonder what would Rock and Roll music be like, if Elvis had not stormed onto the music scene? Would there even been Rock and Roll without Presley?

My first memory of music is my mom putting a record on our record player and her singing along to the music. My first idol was Elvis. Even today nothing can put a smile on my first, and get me in happy mood then playing the music of Elvis Presley.

I still have the records my mom and my aunt had of the king of rock and roll. I have his music on CD’s, my phone, my tablet and my PC. My grandchildren dance with me when we play his music. We laugh, sing and dance around looking all goofy, but we are happy and having a great time.

I was 11 years old when Elvis died. I remember be upset and crying, because I did not get to see him in concert, and at the time I thought I would not hear him sing again, and people would forget him. Now here it is 38 years later, and Elvis Presley is still know by people all over the world, every generation.

My kids grew up listening to Elvis being played in our home, the same way I grew up hearing him, my grandkids now know who he is, and that coming to Grandmas means there will be some singing and dancing going on. His name and music will always go on, and he will never be forgotten.
