Blind Faith Presence of The Lord

The authentic and brilliant but tragically short-lived group blind faith was one of immense popularity. Their classic song “The Presence of the Lord” has become something of a Christian rock staple among many different artists. It is certainly a song that is good for you if you’ve had any sort of addictions to drugs or any other thing. It is refreshing to hear someone who will later go through a transformation, kicking drugs and alcohol for the most part in the eighties. I’m referring to one Eric Clapton. Steve Winwood is one heck of a keyboard and organ player on the track. The drummer is fantastic in his changes of time, especially when the group kicks things into a higher gear in the instrumental break. It’s almost like the artists go into cut time but just a little bit faster than this. It’s in a high-fluting 4/4 like that of a high-speed chase with the drums and electric guitar in a frenzy with added distortion to boot. It then goes back to the regular ballad 4/4 tempo that the song starts with. Add with that screaming vocals on the last take for expression take.

If you need a good rock song to seek Jesus, as we all seek Jesus in different ways, this would be the one I would choose. Rock away and seek God.
