Cult Of Dom Keller - Cult of Dom Keller

Cult of Dom Keller are a renowned psychedelic rock band from the United Kingdom. They are a psychedelic rock band that tends to mix various genres. Most notably neo-psychedelia, noise rock, garage rock and some rather shoegaze infused noisy psychedelia. They recently came out with a new album, but their best album to date definitely is their self-titled debut album, which they released back in 2013. This album packs a fine selection of rather repetitive noise-rock infused heavy riffage in a psychedelic coating along with some fine neo-psych style vocals.

The first track on the album is titled ''Swamp Heron'' and it packs some really fine noisy psych guitars along with some neo-psych style vocals. It is a rather repetitive track with a slightly bluesy feel that might as well run on forever in repeat. The second track ''Eyes'' packs a bit of more tempo in the drumming and bass section that is accompanied by some dreamy vocals and fine distortion as far as the guitar section is concerned. The following two tracks can be summed up by saying that they pack some fine noisy neo-psych, and the same can be said about the fifth track ''Black Bullet Blues'' as well, although this track offers some more interesting vibes in its awesome transcendental distorted psych ways, and is one of my personal favorite tracks from the album. Tracks like ''You Are There In Me'' and 'Nowhere To Land'' offer some faster paced catchy neo-psychedelia with a more dominant vocal department as well, while the last track ''All I Need is Not Now Live'' packs some truly fine noisy psych guitars and is perhaps my favorite Cult of Dome Keller track.

All in all this debut album from Cult of Dom Keller is possibly one of the best examples of fine neo-psychedelia with some noisy guitars and mellow vocals. The album is consistently good throughout and doesn't really have many weak points, making it an almost 10 from 10 album for me in its own genre.
