“CAN” are one of the great classics of experimental rock. They are often considered pioneers of krautrock, but they are far more than that. Coming from the classical field of music, Ieman Schmidt and Holger Czukay treated rock, not as popular music, but as the true form of “new” music, alongside jazz, as opposed to the contemporary classical composers, who claimed to be the avant-garde. This song is from their 1972 album “Ege Bamyasi,” and it contains one of the rare highly melodic vocal lines by Dano Suzuki, who isn’t exactly famous for his melodic creativity. The catchy chorus consists of Damo Suzuki repeating the line "Hey you! You're losing your Vitamin C". Considering its short length and relatively standard song structure, it is one of the band's more conventional songs.
