I love when musicians scream political messages into our passive-aggressive minds. During the 90s, Skunk Anansie have surprised the scene with an angry black woman screaming against politics and Church. Their career lasted for three albums while Skin decided to go solo for no meaningful reason. I did not understand any of her solo efforts. In 2010, they had made a big return. Two previous albums shook the hearts of their loyal fans and now they have completed another trilogy.

Wonderlustre and Black Traffic have taken care of our souls with gorgeous ballades and dance tunes full of angst. On the other hand, Anarachytecture is showing some limitations. Opening track Love Someone Else will make everyone dance on their concerts. One of the biggest flaws of the open is that the electro- rock constantly overshadows guitars, especially on tracks such as Victim and Beauty Is Your Curse.

Mega ballade Death To The Lovers stands shoulder to shoulder with all their evergreens. The stream of the album goes something like this: a little bit of disappointing fuzz distortion, a little bit of weak production and then BAM – RATM riff and hard rock that come out of nowhere. My favorite track from the whole record is an instrumental Suckers. I know it is nothing special but it strikes me with its rawness.

Anarchytecture is a decent album. Skunk Anansie need to be aware that we are comparing them to themselves. That is privilege and curse at the same time. With this release, they can not expect to change the world or slap the scene in the face. On the other hand, I highly doubt any fan will have his\her heart broken. Anarchytecture has few new songs for set-list that are necessary for life pulse of the band.
