Seremonia are a great Finnish psychedelic rock/occult rock/doom band, who have released a number of great albums to date. The best of these albums might be their first self-titled release from 2012 though. What is unique about this particular psychedelic rock/occult rock band is the use of some very interesting Finnish female vocals. There aren't many good occult rock/doom bands out there that use female vocals as well as this particular Finnish outfit. And none of them singing in Finnish of course.
The best track from their self-titled album is probably the highly addictive and catchy psych rock track Tähtien Takaa, which also happens to be my personal favorite from this particular album. Other tracks are almost equally awesome though, with the likes of Uhrijuhla and Aamuruskon Kaupunki being the more notable and more interesting ones. All of them mixing the highly distinct Seremonia style female occult rock vocals with some fine doom riffage and psychedelic rock catchynes depending on tracks. The album is fairly consistent from start to finish, and while some tracks could be brought out as being somehwat better, then the whole album is consistently great.
All in all this is another album that people who dig occult rock should listen to. The album doesn't get boring as well thoughout its duration, and among a multitude of rather similar and somewhat boring occult rock bands, this particular Finnish band manages to be pretty interesting and in many ways unique.
