Run To the Sun
This cold is so annoying. Seems like it’s never gonna end. And it makes me pissed and angry; I just go crazy not knowing what to do. Everything is freezing and doomed. And I think I have a cure or just a way to relax and forget all this freaking cold outside. The name of this cure is Sun City Girls. They are a path to the Sun and my hope that everything’s gonna be alright.
Sun City Girls is a band from Phoenix, Arizona, USA. They played very noise, warm and charming experimental rock. Oh, they are so warm, kind and familiar! Sun City Girls is like magical pills bringing you joy, light and self-confidence, especially if you’re cold, depressed and tired. Girls’ music is an unstoppable saturated wave of experimental, weird and very good sounds. The music is full of mysticism, long improvisations, and different South African and Oriental melodies. You just might get drowned in this swamp of cozy sounds. Those sounds touch your skin and soul; they make you feel right and calm down.
Sun City Girls is one of those bands which are as influential and cult following as not accepted by a wide audience. Their experimental rock is too experimental: tape music, jazz improvisations, punk dirt and a lot of occult and mystical content. Oh, and a good humor, of course! So it’s no wonder that Sun City Girls is a cult which is not popular but so true.
SCG has enormous discography! So you are free to choose but my advice is to have it all! Just grab their albums and run away in a safe and warm place; turn on any of Girls’ albums, kiss your lover and start you ritual! Immediately! This is what we are about to do right now.
