Bushman's Revenge

Bushman's Revenge are a renowned Norwegian experimental psychedelic rock band who pack a wide range of different genre surpassing and crossing influences from mathrock to fee jazz and progressive rock. They have released quite a large number of albums since their first one back in 2007. The most notable of these albums perhaps being You Lost Me At Hello, A Little Bit Of Big Bonanza, Jitterburg and Thou Shalt Boogie!.

What is especially great about Bushman's Revenge is that they have managed to not get boring on any of the albums they have released, and always seem to have a fresh feel to them. This is much down to the before mentioned genre crossing. They can have a more free jazz feel to them at one point, then move to more conventional stoner influenced psychedelic rock, or even psychedelic noise rock. Then again they may cross to math rock and the more experimental. While in the midst of this they can shift to something slower in a droneish stoner rock sense, like they do on A Little Bit Of Big Bonanza with tracks like Tinnitus Love Poem. Then again moving to the more faster yet melodic psych of Hent Tollekvinen Ivar, Det Ar Stranda Et Hval or Kill Your Jitterburgs Darling. This is again the major characteristic of this Norwegian psych band. They always manage to be catchy and memorable no matter in what structures they dwell in.

All in all Bushman's Revenge is another fascinating and unique psych rock band that deserves a bit more credit than they have gotten so far. Be sure to check out any of their albums as they will surely be marvellous.
