Grateful Dead Fare Thee Well 50th Anniversary Concerts continue tonight July 3rd in Chigago at the famed Soldier Field Stadium. This is the first of three nights, July 3rd, 4th, and 5th, in Chicago and the final Grateful Dead shows!

Anticipaton is building for tonights (8pm ET) show building off last weeks success in Santa Clara, CA. While last weeks shows were great, I think many people are eagerly looking forward to the Chicago run. The CA shows certainly had some great moments, but there were some serious issues the boys had to work out. Promoter Shapiro even came forth and said that the CA shows were like a soundcheck for the Chicago shows. It was evident at times that the group would take a little practice to mesh together. At times though you could truly see the greatness that is to come. I believe the band realizes now that they must let Trey lead the band as he is really bringing the energy! Also, I am sorry Phil we love you but cool it on the singing. LET TREY SING! I hope everyone is looking forward to the show and the magic it will bring to us. These concerts are a great tribute to Jerry Garcia, Brent, Pigpen and all the former members of the band.

Once again there are various streaming options for the show on mlb.com, youtube, sirius xm, and on PPV through Dish and Direct TV.
