Munk Duane’s "Sweet Tooth" is a soulful and sexy, Alt-R&B funk banger detailing a story of “temptation” in the face of fidelity. The track was mastered by Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, Green Day, Chet Faker, Lucinda Williams) and it’s the latest in a series of 3 singles from his forthcoming fifth studio album.
He's a prolific instrumentalist, producer, and film-score composer with his own production company Bad Stella Studios based out of Boston, MA.
“On my last two singles, I was in my ‘shame against the machine’ social observation and commentary mode, taking on heavier topics like gun violence and divisive false narratives. On ‘Sweet Tooth’, I wanted to pivot to something a little more fun, and a lot more sultry, if only for a moment, just to take a breath. The song spins a more intimate tail of temptation in relationships, a topic almost everyone can relate to, if not comfortably talk about” Duane says.
“Sweet Tooth” comes hot on the heels of his last release “Dangerous”, (a scathing response to people spreading misinformation about coronavirus) which premiered via The Hype Mag in early Fall 2020:
