Do you know a female vocalist that rocks the world with new album with a lot of art and passion in it in her 40s? When I think of a "super, massive powerful woman voice" I mean Jill Scott! She literary rocks the world with her latest album "Woman" released in 2015. A classic Neo-jazz, RnB style with lots of good lyrics and wonderful groove and melodies. Definitely, deserves our attention!
“Woman” is her fifth studio album that contains 16 wonderful songs. Each one of the tracks has their own story to tell and brings up a different ambient with a lot of emotions behind the lyrics. The album is produced by Blue Babe Records and Atlantic Records. You simply cannot expect a ”bad” music to come out from these labels! The albums got the first position on the US Billboard 200, and US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart list.
Her powerful voice is just too good to be true. Jill is grooving with the beat of “Prepared”. The song has a powerful beat that is preparing your ears for what is coming toward you! The next song is “Run, run, run with faster tempo bringing some extra energy with all the back vocals. The next one is my favorite and that’s “Can’t wait”. The songs have excellent groove and powerful arrangement, I fell in love with this one! On the other hand, there is “Back Together”, a slow ballad, which is filled up with magical gospel sparkles that give us the sincere soul of Jill and again amazing job for the wonderful backing vocals over the great harmony progression!
What I love about this album is that is not a classic album that sticks to one kind of an”album sound”. This is a different kind of art that truly explores the music ocean. I believe that this was a beautiful experience and enjoyment for Jill Scott and the whole crew that worked for this product as it is for us, being the audience.
Jill Scott is one of my favorite’s female vocalists. When she is on stage her charisma and energy is something very unique thing to see because not everyone knows how to deliver that much passion and emotion during their performances. Not only that Jill Scott is a great vocalist, but she is also known as an actress, poet, and a songwriter. If I should describe her, I would say that is a woman with very strong vision and character, with explosive wild energy and overall a complete artist.
