The Birth Of A Nation Cover

October 7th is reserved for yet another history movie event, the Nat Turner biopic, directed by our leading role man Nate Parker, composing a story of an enslaved rebel who turned the hard page of his history in the South in 1831. But, before we dig in deeper into this visual book, we have a wonderful chance of sticking our ears into the latest Hip Hop/R`n`B album piece, heavily inspired by this epic film.

iTunes official release came on Sept. 30th and this 16-track sonic package holds the baddest industry names in it. From Vic Mensa, Meek Mill, 2Chainz, Nas, Ne-Yo, Wale, K. Michelle and a lot more of the greats, the "Birth Of A Nation: Inspired By" LP is the most emotionally refreshing project that I have heard in a while. About time too. It`s true feel, tangled with this peaceful darkness of a lost souls, approaching the fearsful edges of courageousness, with limitlessly powerful musical escort, tells so much more then just a story of a leader. The way the artists approached this legacy is something that stands out immensley, something that grabs your spirit and reconstructs your mind to a new, intelectual level of awakeness.

From strong Rap bars to soulful singfull notations of this great performers, you will be turned upside-down by this breathtaking creation of a Gangsta-Soulful Gospel rhythms. The hits that are peaking out are Vic Mensa`s "Go Tell `Em", Meek Mill and Piusha-T`s "Black Moses" feat. Priscilla Renea, Gucci`s "Oh Lord" ft. Lil Wayne, out-of-this-world composition of Trey Songz`s "Stand" and Nas`s "War" in collaboration with Raye. To purchase the album, go to the iTunes link here:  and to listen to it before you get convinsed, go to the You Tube playlist available here:

For the very end, I leave you with the best part on the album, my favorite track of the lovely soulbird Kamau (picture above) and his "The Icarus". Enjoy!
