New York City based duo Amelia's Dream have released their 6th studio album "Everybody's Got Something" just in time for our upcoming lonely holiday season.
The titke track which Amelia says came to her while she was standing in line at the grocery store is all about how we look at other people and think that they have it better than we do somehow... In AMelia's case that day at Whole Foods she was having a bad day and she was staring at a woman in line who had perfect skin and she thought to herself look at that woman's goregous complexion. Then when it was the womans turn to pay it turns out she walked with a very series limp. And Amelia thought - Everyone's Got something. Indeed.
Amelia's Dream consists of songwriter/Singer Amelia S. Gewirtz & musician/producer/songwriter Harold Stephan. Their original music has been featured on Multiple TV shows and movies including Wishmaster 4 (Garden ) Dog the Bounty hunter (Broken season 7 ) , Disney In a heartbeat (TRUST YOUR GUT ). The Amelias Dream Song Ballerina was chosen for the Theme Song & Web series “Good n’Screwed” now being shopped in 2020/2021 to transition to a TV series. In addition their original music has been on various other scripted shows on Networks including CBS TV, ABC & Disney (In your arms) and many MTV scripted shows. They have been performing together for over 24 years starting in ‘96 with the record Here in the Rage, and performing at clubs like the Mercury Lounge, the Knitting Factory, and the Bitter End and appearances at events including 7 years as a featured band at NYC Marathon and AIDS Walk earned them a strong local following. Their second album, Love Tattoo, was released in ‘99 on Ripe & Ready Records, with a third album Unravel: Recorded Live at the Magic Shop following in ‘04. Inspired by the birth of their son Adam in ‘07, the husband and wife team released a fourth album No More Time in 2013 under the name Parents With Angst. which lives on as a music blog for musician parents who want to talk about the ourney of parenthood and art.
