It’s a pretty crowded house. You have Adele, Beyonce, Gaga, Perry and Pink. Swift and Sia, then there’s Rihanna and Del Rey, Grande, Lovato and Lorde, Madonna, Gomez, Keys and Ke$ha, Shakira or Spears. So that’s a lot of ladies in the house. Well move over Madams and Mademoiselles and make way for one more. Because Mina Alali is in the house!
Even though this newcomer is still in school (the Berklee College of Music) she’s exhibited some pretty impressive singing skills on her latest releases. For the Christmas season she’s release a special single called “What I Want”. This is a follow-up to an album released earlier in the year titled “22 Cents Less”. A pretty prolific accomplishment, to say the least, at such a tender age.
Mina (http://www.minaalali.com) is not only a formally trained musician, but has also formed and managed her own acappella group, hosted a program on a California radio station, traveled to Iran, sings in foreign languages (including Persian), and can write some really awesome songs. And some people claim that Millennials (AKA Generation Y’ers) are slackers.
I’ve always believed that it takes more than just talent, which Ms. Alali certainly has displayed an abundance of in her body of work, but also incentive, ingenuity, perseverance and the strong work ethic that she’s demonstrated in past achievements. If she can keep going at this rate then I predict in Mina’s future that she can expect to receive some solid gold rewards along the way.
