Bad Suns channeled a Lynchian attitude to their cover work and even their Pop song 'Disappear Here' ghostly represents a shuddering feeling. 'Disappear Here' facilitates cross sections of brilliant crafted genres. With an ease (as slick as butter) Bad Suns contribute several influences however, never at any point does the band come off as stealing or copying. In fact Bad Suns may be a new style of L.A. based band. Typically L.A. consists of their sub-genres, sections dedicated to small groups of people in different bands making all the same music. Bad Suns may now lead a new brand of Pop fusion.
Somehow a particular dystopian possession compells the lyrics. Heavy repetition, several layers on a cosmis level and a hardy introduction to a new album. With 'Disappear Here' sharing the same title as Bad Suns new album, one can only hope this welcome mimics a parallel sound. With only one song, Bad Suns has dug their hook into this listener...however, it comes down to the entire album. Each song must own a sizeable foundation, show evolution within the band and be able to handle a repeated play. So far, so good.
Bad Suns new album Disappear Here will be released September 16th, 2016. Consider this a first listen and a chance to ingross those musicial ears towards a new awakening.
